With a 400 ampere continuous current capability, this is the perfect size binding post for demanding applications. A patented clamping mechanism makes it possible for high compression connection of spades and crimped wire ends up to 6mm² (10AWG). By means of a collet chucking device, any 4mm² banana plug can be securely clamped. Milled grooves on both sides of the compression plate provide high strength for connection of spades. NO TOOLS required to provide a secure connection. Finger tightening is all that is required. This connector will not fit on a 3/4” or 19mm center to center spacing.

2003 presenterade WBT en helt ny generation RCA-kontakter, next gen. Detta var starten på utvecklingen av flera ljudmässigt mycket bra kontakter. Just nu finns det sex olika modeller av RCA-kontakter för sladdmontage och fyra olika RCA-kontakter för chassimontage. Dessutom finns next gen-teknologin på tre olika högtalarpoler för chassimontage samt två olika bananpluggar och fyra olika spadar.

Alla dessa kontaker bygger på samma grundkonstruktion, mindre massa och snabbare signalväg. Dessutom används rena material, det är inga legeringar utan ren koppar och ren silver i kontaktvägen.

Gemensamt för alla RCA next gen-kontakter är att de inte har en cirkulär jordanslutning utan endast en jordpunkt och en signalpunkt. Det skapar en distortions fri singal utan problem med störande virvelströmmar som kan uppstå vid användning av en reguljär kontakt.

De finns fler tillverkare som bygger sina kontakter på liknande sätt, men det som göra att WBT oftast vinner tester mellan de olika modellerna, är dess otroligt gedigna byggnadskvalité. Detta tillsammans med en fantastisk ljudmässig kvalité gör att next gen från WBT står sig mycket bra i konkurrensen mot andra tillverkare. För att inte det ska finnas någon möjlighet förstöra någon komponent i ljudanläggningen har WBT gjort kontakten så att jordpunkten får kontakt innan signalstiftet får kontakt. WBT tillverkar inte bara den ljudmässigt bästa kontakten utan den säkraste också.

Låsfunktionen av kontakten finns självklart kvar, sladdhanen låses fast i chassihonan när man drar åt ytterhylsan på hanen.

När man arbetar med en kontakt från WBT är det ingen risk att de smälter sönder. WBT använder bara de bästa plasterna som är mycket värmetåliga och håller formen. Önskar man går det att ta i sär kontakten för att komma åt att löda bättre.
